The Belize Defence Force once again recieves new Equipments from the US southern Command on the 9th September 2009.  This time the BDF recieved new Interceptor Vessels and New trucks, this is a part of the "Enduring Friendship" program with Belize and the US Government, at an estimates cost of over 3.6 million US dollars.  This gift package also include the training of the crew on how to operate, maintain and sustain it over long period and to utalize the technology of the boatsout on the coastal waters of Belize.  Commander Belize Defence Force expresses his thankful appreciation to the donation as he mentioned " It’s a capability that we all wanted for many years, we didn’t have it, we now have it. We’re able to put it at sea, Belizean waters".
